Elena Panagopoulos, a designer at HANRO for more than 7 years, tells us about her favorite collection, NALA from Fall/Winter 2019 trend collection. In this interview, she shares what makes the series so special and gives us her best styling tip.
WHAT HAS INSPIRED YOU TO CREATE THE NALA
LINGERIE COLLECTION?
My inspiration was pictures of gothic cathedrals. These ornamental, graphic elements of architecture can be found in the lace. I liked the idea of combining lace with a more sportier mesh material and a casual ribbed fabric. That‘s how the Nala collection was developed.

WHAT IS THE DESIGN LANGUAGE OF NALA?
The design language is modern, very feminine, and seductive.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT THIS LINGERIE
COLLECTION?
I like the combination of the three materials: lace, mesh, and ribbed fabric. We created seductive lingerie with a modern look. In addition, we’ve created a play on transparency and non-transparency with the different materials.

WHAT ARE THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE NALA COLLECTION?
The highlight of the collection is the ability to combine different styles, which allows the wearer to define their individual look. We’re not all just feminine or just sporty. This lingerie collection combines all the characteristics – feminine, sporty, and modern. A special highlight is the soft bra, (which features a specially designed racer-back detail. We have also used seams to improve the bra‘s support.

STYLING TIP
I like to wear the briefs under tight-fitting clothes, because they feature an ultra-flat lace. Of course, you can also wear a semi-transparent blouse over the soft bra, so you can see the refined back detail as an eye-catcher. |
